Good Dinner tonight!!

We had a great dinner tonight.

Tonight was our Senior Family Dinner. It's a night where we invite out our graduating Seniors and their families and spend some time hanging out. We try to do it a couple of weeks before graduation before all the craziness of graduation and parties begin.

Tonight was a great night. Clayton Brooks, Matt Gallaway and Skye Peavy were present. This is a picture of the food spread. All in all, it was a good night. Good conversations. Good encouragement. Good opportunities.

It was good. And the food was from Boston Market and it was good too.

Fresh Frontline News!!!

I just posted some fresh frontline news to our high school students, parents and leaders. It's packed with information about:

• CIY Summer Conference (Sign up by March 30... June 22 - 29)
  
• Rock River Retreat (April 11-12)
• Last weekend of the TRL Series (March 17)
• No High Voltage on March 23rd for Easter

Student Ministry Progressive Christmas Dinner...

Last night, we had a couple of great Student Ministry Progressive Christmas Party Dinners. Everyone showed up and from what I heard from the high school group, had a great time. I know the middle schoolers had a blast... I was with them. All in all it was great!

Thanks to the Hutto/Mortons, Brooks and Reffett(s) for hosting the high schoolers. And thanks to the Cerezos, Gallaways and Alfords for hosting the middle schoolers.

It was a blast!!!

Christmas Progressive Dinners!!!

We've got a great Christmas Party lined up for December 14th for both middle and high school students. We are planning a Progressive Dinner (everyone travels to different houses... eating a different course of the meal as they go). At the final homes, each ministry will have a $5 gift exchange.

It will be a total blast. Now, I'm just waiting to see who has the best lineup of food before I decide where I'm going... hehe...

Frontline (High School) will be visiting these families:
-Morton/Hutto (appetizer)
-Brooks (main course... spaghetti and breadsticks)
-Reffett (dessert and gift exchange)

Underground (Middle School) will be visiting these families:
-Cerezo (appetizer)
-Galloway (main course)
-Alfred (dessert... brownie sundaes... mmmmmm...)

Student are signing up for the Progressive Dinners right now. It starts at 6 pm and concludes at 9:30 pm and costs just $10!!! That's a pretty good deal...

Underground launches!!! Frontline returns!!!

This weekend is a big weekend in the student ministry of Fox Valley Christian Church.

This is the weekend that we are launching our new middle school ministry called "Underground." We're kicking it off with their very own worship time called "Live Wire" on Sunday mornings. This is a huge change that's been needing to happen for a while and it's very exciting!!!

Sunday also marks the return on Frontline, which is the new name of our high school ministry. In the past, Frontline was the name of the entire student ministry, but we've shifted the name to just the high school ministry. Frontline has it's worship time on Sunday nights from 6 - 7:30 pm.


So... It will be a very busy... But very awesome weekend for both Underground and Frontline.
