Ready for snow... on a 90 degree day...

Yesterday, Jackie and I went over to the "Chicago Premium Outlets" to get some new walking/running shoes. I've been needing some for a while and I had a gift certificate to the Nike store, so we went.

And she surprised me when she asked if I wanted to go into the Spyder store. They sell awesome ski gear and I really love their stuff. I've been needing a new ski coat, my old Columbia is getting pretty rough.

But then we starting talking seriously about getting a new coat!!! It blew me away. Then she picked up a pair of matching pants/bibs for skiing and told me to try them on.

After I did, she told me that she wanted to buy them for me!!! I couldn't believe it!!!

So, here they are... They are my Christmas presents early... but I don't care cause they are awesome and I love them!!!


It's a 90 degree day outside, I have to go and mow the yard soon... But I'll be thinking about snow all day!!! I can't wait to go skiing!

Skiing yesterday was great!!!

I hit the slopes yesterday with about a dozen or so middle schoolers and it was a great day. Not as great as a few weeks ago (HERE), but still a great day none the less.

It was about 25 degrees for most of the day with some light snowfall. The slopes were pretty crowded around noon, but they opened up some other lifts and got the crowds moving. Overall, it was pretty good day.

And the best part of me was that I got to ski twice this winter!!! Good stuff.

Skiing tomorrow!!!

I'm hitting the slopes in the morning with our middle schoolers. I'm really looking forward to getting to hang out all day with some of my students. It should be a great day for skiing too... not too cold... and plenty of base.

Hopefully I'll get some pictures up throughout the day. I'm really looking forward to it.

Come on SNOW!!!

There is some snow predicted for the Chicagoland area for the next couple of days!

Which is great for me! This week, we are putting out the sign up sheet for the High School Ski Trip on January 21st. We are heading to Cascade Mountain in Portage, WI. I can't wait. I love the ski trip.

This will be a great trip and I'm really looking forward to it because the High Schoolers go now... the Middle Schoolers go in February... Jim goes both times!!!
