I had a 20 minute conversation on the phone tonight with a former student of mine fromo PA. He enlisted in the Navy and is currently stationed in Hawaii. Previously when we talked, he was in Boston... but I haven't talked with him in a while...
And then out of the blue, he calls tonight just to chat...
We talked about a lot of things... 20 minutes will do that... but it was great to see that some of the seeds of the gospel planted a few years ago in a kid that most of the I thought wasn't listening, paying attention or even caring, have begun to take root. He is actually turning out to be a fine, respectable and honorable man who is putting his life on the line defending America.
