Do they still play that number before WGN radio broadcasts?
ReplyDeleteIf you dig Steve Goodman, incidentally, download "A Dying Cub Fan's Last Request." He recorded it in 1984 when he was dying of cancer. Ironically enough, after he died, the Cubbies made a playoff appearance that year, only to lose the series on a bobbled Leon "Bull" Durham ground ball.
ReplyDeleteThey do... They still play it. But I usually catch it at the end of the game. But they still play it. In fact, I downloaded a copy for my iPod. Yeah... nothing like Cubbies baseball.
